Sweetheart Teen Night Skate This Friday

URBANDALE, Iowa – Des Moines teens can have fun with their sweetheart on ice and have a chance to win an iPad at Sweetheart Teen Night at Metro Ice Sports Facility in Urbandale this Friday, Feb. 8. Any teen that brings a non-perishable food item and shows their student ID will be admitted to skate for free from 7:15-10 p.m.!

Food items will be donated to the Food Bank of Iowa. On-site concessions, Blades Food and Beverage, will offer food and drink specials. Each teen admitted will be put in to the drawing for an iPad. Must be present to win. The night will also feature music played live by DJ from KISS107.5

“Sweetheart Teen Night will be a great event with lots of fun activities for any teenager,” Amanda Rose, MISF Business Operations Manager said. “Metro Ice is committed to offering a safe alternative for Des Moines teens to spend a Friday night.”

Located at 5100 NW 72nd St. in Urbandale, Metro Ice Sports Facility has two indoor NHL size ice rinks, Blades Food and Beverage, a lobby lounge with fireplace and flat screen television and a hockey shop. Programming for the entire family includes a variety of public skating events with plenty of rental skates available, birthday parties, Learn to Skate program, field trips, group events, family days, broomball and a complete curriculum for hockey and figure skating.
