Dan Bosovich, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 2, 2013. He was born on April 6, 1921 and raised in Valley Junction. Dan was employed with Marquette Cement, now known as Monarch Cement of Iowa. He was a devoted family man and neighbor who touched lives wherever he went. Dan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dan is survived by his daughters, Kathy Bosovich (Butch) of Knoxville and Pam Kenworthy (Richard) of Windsor Heights; son, Nick Bosovich (Shelly) of West Des Moines; three sisters, Martha Radosevich, Rose Kast and Kathleen Bryan along with seven grandchildren, Joel DeMaderios, David DeMaderios (Lara), Adam Kenworthy (Lynzey), Nicholas Ryan, Jack Trimble, Kama Neuman (Rich), Danielle Kenworthy, Emily Bosovich and Rachel Bosovich; eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas Ryan, Ashlee Nueman, Kailee Neuman, Aiden DeMaderios, Cassidy DeMaderios, Samantha DeMaderios, Zac Neuman and Trent Gutknecht and two great-great grandchildren, Paetyn Ryan and Maeya Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Violet; son, Danny; parents, Peter and Mildred; sister, Bessie Basarich; and brothers, Mike and John Bosovich.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 7 at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd. in Clive with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
