Youth Boys/Girls Winter Tournament:
We will be offering a Youth Basketball Tournament for both boys and girls, grades 3rd-6th.  We will be expecting several teams from surrounding areas as well as local teams.  Coaches are responsible for putting their teams together.   All are welcome to compete in the tournaments!  The Boys tournament will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 with the sign-up deadline extended to February 11th.  The Girls Tournament will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013, with the sign-up deadline extended to February 18th.  The cost for the tournament will be $90/team.  Get your team together today; you don’t want to miss this opportunity to compete against others in our Winter Classic! Kids Weight Training Program:
Our 2nd session of weight training will from February 12th to March 21st.  The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00PM-5:45PM.  This is a great opportunity for you to learn the techniques of proper weight training, as well as warm-up and cool down exercises.  Kids must be between the ages of 11-13 years in order to sign up for the program!  Contact Tara at the MCB for more information! The registration deadline is Friday, February 8th so sign up today!

Baseball/Softball Clinic:
The Perry Parks and Recreation Department will be offering a baseball and softball clinic at the McCreary Community Building.  The tentative date is set for March 16th and 17th, but more details to come!  This will be a great way for your child/children to learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching and proper techniques associated with the sport.

Swim Lessons:
The American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program teaches aquatic and safety skills and the fundamentals of learning to swim.  Their focus is teaching children to swim and how to be safe in, on, and around the water.  Session II of swim lessons runs from Saturday, February 9th to March 23rd and the MCB will be offering three different Levels.  The fee is $22 for members and $30 for non-members.  Contact Jimmy at the MCB at 465-5621 for more information! Registration is underway and the deadline is February 1st so sign-up today!

Parent/Child Swim Classes:
The MCB offers this class as a way for parents to orient their children to the water.  It is designed for children age 6 months to 3 years old. The February class begins Saturday, February 9th to March 16th from 9AM-9:30AM.  The cost is $13 for members and $26 for non-members.  Stop into the MCB at 1800 Pattee Street to get registered today! The deadline to sign-up is February 1st!

Lifeguard Training:
The MCB is currently offering American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification.  Individual’s ages 15 years and older can become certified lifeguards for public and private facilities through this program.  The class will cover CPR, First Aid, and lifeguard skills. In order to become certified, participants must complete all required skills and attend every class.  There must be 5 enrolled to hold this class.  For those that become a lifeguard and work for the recreation center for more than 6 months, you will receive FULL reimbursement of the fee.  The March class runs from March 19th-21st, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30AM-6:30PM.  The fee is $115 for members and $135 for non-members.  The deadline to register is March 12th so stop into the MCB and sign up today!
**REMINDER: Starting February 1st the late fee applies for all Perry Pet Licenses!!**
