Library online

Posted January 23, 2013 in Community Blogs

Are you one of the many people that received a Kindle for Christmas?  If so, now is the time to go to the Fort Dodge Public Library’s website, www.fortdodgeiowa.org/library and check out the ebooks tab.  The Library is a member of NEIBORS – North Eastern Iowa Bridge to Online Resource Sharing, and we have several thousand ebooks that can be downloaded to Kindles, as well as Nooks, I-pads, and laptops.  Books can be checked out of the collection for 2 weeks and there is a limit of 3 titles that can be checked out at one time.  If you finish one title, you can return it right away and check out something else.  You will need a current Fort Dodge Public Library card in order to check out materials.  Audiobooks can also be downloaded from NEIBORS.  Titles are first downloaded to a computer and then transferred to your MP3 player or I-pod.  If you have questions or need help with your device or downloading titles, stop at the Reference Desk and we’ll be happy to help.

Happy Reading!
