Lifelong Learners Coffee: Quilting Angels: Operation First Response
Join us for free coffee and conversation at Perry Public Library, 9:00 a.m., Monday, January 28, in the Community Room. We welcome P.J. Sesker-Green, who will talk about her work with Operation First Response – Aid to Wounded Soldiers, a national volunteer veterans’ aid program that presents handmade quilts to wounded servicemen. Meet some of our local “quilting angels” and view some of their Quilts of Valor. Everyone is invited to attend this free program and learn about this worthwhile organization. When walking in the wilds, animals aren’t always seen so how do you know animals are there? Animals leave many clues behind and one of the best clues is scat! What is scat? Who left it behind? And what can it teach us about the animal? Come explore this topic with a naturalist from the Dallas County Conservation on Thursday, January 24 at 6:30 pm. This free program will be held in the large meeting room of the Perry Public Library. Everyone is welcome!!!
