Judith Mae (Nichols) Mautz, 66, of Cleveland, Missouri, passed away on January 16th, after a long, well fought, battle against cancer.
Judy was born in Ankeny, Iowa and raised on the family farm. It was there that she learned the value of hard work and developed her passion for animals. Later in life, Judy met Ray, her best friend. The two were married and enjoyed 28 wonderful years of marriage. During their time together, they found their love for Australian Shepherds and established RJM Aussies.
Together, they helped to create wonderful Aussie companions for families around the world.
Judy was a motivated, strong, and independent woman. She respected honesty and valued hard work. She enjoyed time spent with friends, traveling, and most of all, her dogs.
Judy is survived by her two brothers, Gaylord (Sue) Nichols of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Roger (Sharon) Nichols of Prairie City, Iowa. Judy was preceded in death by her husband Ray Mautz, her parents Norman and Lois Nichols, her brother Marvin Nichols, and her infant brother, Stephen.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Greenwood Friends Cemetery in, Ankeny, Iowa.
