On a sunny afternoon while my family and I were out running errands, our stomachs began to rumble. Since we were in the Jordan Creek area, we thought it would be easiest to eat somewhere close. My husband was craving chicken, so the new Chick-fil-A seemed like an obvious choice.
We pulled into the parking lot and found a spot near the door. When we stepped inside we had a short wait before we stepped up to the counter to order. The menu was neatly laid out above the registers, and there were lots of options. There were many delicious-sounding salads and wraps available, as well as the signature chicken sandwiches. The selections of sides had unique and yummy-sounding soups and pudding dishes.
I like to graze, so I thought I’d go with the eight piece Chick-fil-A nuggets and a side of the waffle fries. My husband chose the spicy chicken sandwich as well as the chicken nuggets. We ordered and grabbed our drinks.
We were able to find a large booth among the mix of tables and sat right down. I noticed lots of chicken sandwiches being ordered, and the whole place smelled of delicious homemade food. After all, Chick-fil-A does claim to have the “Original Chicken Sandwich,” as noted when you walk in.
When we got our food, we were happy to see that it was steaming hot and smelled wonderful. I plucked a thick, hearty waffle fry from the pile first and then started on my nuggets. I dunked one in ranch and started in on the juicy, perfectly breaded chicken. The nuggets are small but substantial in the amount of meat packed into each small bite.
My husband devoured his chicken sandwich and even snagged some of my fries. Stuffed and satisfied, we packed up and headed out.
