Get a Gadget for a Gift? Library Apps
Saturday, Jan. 12, 2 p.m.
Did you get a new e-reader, tablet, or smartphone for a holiday gift? Learn how to add the library’s e-books, e-magazines, and downloadable audiobooks to your gadget. Bring your smartphone, tablet or reader and library staff will help you get started with 3M Cloud Library, WILBOR, and Zinio Magazines.

Wednesday, Jan. 16, 4:00 p.m.
Tweens ages 8 through 12 are invited to get creative with Shrinky Dinks. You can make keychains, magnets, pendants and more. Preregister.

Pizza and Pages: Teen Book Discussion
Monday, Jan. 28, 4 p.m.
Teens in grades eight through 12 are invited to join us for pizza and a discussion of the book “Being by Kevin Brooks.” Copies of the book will be available at the information desk.

Ten Things to Know About Breast Cancer and How to Avoid It
Tuesday, Jan. 29, 6:30 p.m.
Drake University Professor Emeritus Patricia Prijatel will share information from and answer questions about her recently published book, “Surviving Triple-Negative Breast Cancer: Hope, Treatment, and Recovery.” Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing after the program.

BeTween the Lines: Tween Book Discussion
Wednesday, Jan. 30, 4 p.m.
Please join us for our tween book discussion. We’ll have snacks and a craft to go along with the book’s theme. This month we will discuss “Where the Mountain Meets the Moon” by Grace Lin. Books will be available to sign out at December’s BeTween the Lines, or at the information desk. Parents are invited to read the book and join in the discussion.
