After two weeks of winter break, school resumed in all buildings on Monday, January 7th.  Students actually received an extended winter break due to the weather and no school on Thursday, December 20th and Friday, December 21st.  These days have been added on to the end of the school calendar.  The last day of school for the 2012-2013 school year will now be Tuesday, May 28th.  If a third snow day would take place prior to January 14th, a make up day will be held on Monday, January 21st which is currently scheduled as a no school day.

The Jefferson-Scranton Schools Board of Education will hold a work session on Wednesday, January 9th at 5:15 PM at the South Grade.  The focus of the work session will be looking at the area of Science.  Following the work session, the board will hold a Joint Board Meeting with the East Greene School Board of Education.  This meeting will take place in Grand Junction at 6:50 PM.  The current whole grade sharing process will be discussed along with the upcoming reorganization vote on February 5th.
