Following the snow storm on December 19th and 20th the City has received a number of inquiries from residents no whether the City was planning any type of storm debris pick-up. Following a citywide evaluation by the City Manager and Public Works Director it was determined a special debris pick-up would not be appropriate for the City. This determination was made due to the significant snow piles along the City streets and safety concerns with residents placing debris in these areas and City staff attempting to pick-up debris.
Clive residents have multiple options to assist with any debris clean-up. During the first two weeks of January any remaining yard debris is collected before spring. Be sure to use a Compost It! cart or bags, or attach Compost It! stickers to generic bags to ensure your yard waste is picked up. Also, in April the City will have Spring Bundled Brush Pick-up where residents can place bundles of debris on the curb for pick-up. If you live east of the interstate it will be April 11 and April 12 for those living west of the interstate.
If residents have significant storm damage we encourage you to contact one of the local private tree and brush companies for assistance.
