Carol Lynn Perrier, age 58, of Grand Haven, Michigan, and formerly of Boone, passed away unexpectedly in an automobile accident on December 16, 2012, in Grand Haven.

Her body has been cremated. A Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, December 29, 2012, beginning at 1 p.m. followed by a Memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall in Boone. Rev. Gary Sneller will officiate.

Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at 823 Keeler Street in Boone.

All are invited to attend any or all of the above mentioned events.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date.

Carol was born in Boone, Iowa, on March 9, 1954, the daughter of Egon and Margaret Ann (Peters) Jacobsen.

She graduated from Boone High School in 1972 and continued on to receive her Undergraduate Degree from Iowa State University and her Master Degree in Early Childhood Education from Drake University.

Carol married Armand Perrier III in Boone on October 9, 1976. They were married 36 years. Carol was a devoted life partner to Armand.

Everyone Carol touched remembers her smile and cheerful nature.

After college and before starting a family, Carol thrived on being a kindergarten teacher.

Carol’s training and skills learned as a teacher were put to good use as her passion was loving and caring for her family.

Carol and her family had vast life experiences as they lived in: Woodward, IA; St Louis, MO; West Des Moines, IA; Wilson, NC; Brentwood TN; and Grand Haven, MI.

Carol always devoted her time and love to her children.

She was an active school volunteer and thereby assured her children gained the most from their school experiences.

Along with her passion for family, love of God was the focus of Carol’s life.

She always maintained a positive attitude and instilled Christian virtues in her family.

Carol is survived by her husband, Armand Perrier III of Grand Haven; three children: Angela (Brian) Woline of Clive; Courtney Perrier of Walker, Michigan; and Armand IV (AJ) of Grand Haven (Home); and her mother-in-law, June Perrier of Spring Lake, Michigan.

Carol is also survived by two brothers: Paul (Nancy) Jacobsen and family of Boone, and Jon (Norma) Jacobsen and family of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Egon and Margaret Ann Jacobsen formerly of Boone, and her father-in-law, Armand Perrier Jr., formerly of Madrid.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to First Presbyterian Church Education Fund, 508 Franklin Avenue, Grand Haven, Michigan 49417.
