No DART service on Thanksgiving Day

Posted November 20, 2012 in Des Moines West, Downtown, Community Web Exclusives, Web Exclusives, Windsor Heights

The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will not operate bus service on Thursday, November 22, in observation of the Thanksgiving holiday. DART Central Station will be closed, as well.

Service will resume Friday, November 23. That is the same day that several major service changes take effect, including the replacement of the Walnut Street Transit Mall with the new DART Central Station.

Additional information about the service changes and the new station is available at www.ridedart.com.

The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority is the public transportation provider that serves Polk County.  DART operates a family of transportation services that makes getting around the Greater Des Moines area easier and more convenient.
