Go Grandparents!

Posted November 14, 2012 in Community Blogs, Grimes

I would like to congratulate all Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s. In the last 3 weeks, I have become a Grandmother twice. It is the most wonderful feeling.  I get to go see the Grandchild and I get to go home. I have had many tell me this, but the feeling is exuberant!

Also, I get to once again use the children’s section as a patron, not just straightening and looking at all the cute books there are!  Now I can take them home and read them to the kids!  It is never too early to start reading to a child.  One can read anything to them, the sound of the voice, the words, the interaction is all good.  I preach it enough, now I can practice it!!!

Some sites to visit about reading to infants and children:

There are thousands of sites dealing with this.  These are just a few I looked at and liked.
Just do a search for ‘reading to infants’ and set back!

Talk to them, read to them, and love them!  (That part is NOT hard!)

Go Grandparents!!!!!
