Rocky Dacre

Rocky Tyler Dacre 30, of Platte City, MO died Saturday November 3, 2012 at his home. Rocky was born to Barbara Dacre and the late Jay Dacre in Des Moines, Ia. Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 10 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel where family will greet friends from Noon until 2 p.m. He attended Waukee schools then moved to Branson, MO in 1996 where he graduated from Branson High School. Rocky was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved the outdoors, taking inspiration from his grandfather and uncles. He took that passion to work every day selling hunting and fishing gear and teaching bow hunting for many years at Cabela’s in Kansas City, MO. Rocky loved to talk to people and shared love and laughter with everyone around him. He cherished his family and many friends and extended helping hands at every opportunity, whether he just met you or knew you his whole life. He touched our lives and soul and was a blessing to us, and his presence in our life is a gift we will always be thankful for. Rocky was predeceased by his father Jay Dacre, grandmother Dona Dacre, grandfather Raymond Belding, and uncle Larry Belding. Rocky is survived by his mother, Barbara, sisters Heidie Swihart and Mindy Daugherty, nieces and nephews; Jesse, Jacob, Jamie, Grace, Cassidy, Gavin and Casey; uncles Lloyd (Mary) Belding, Joseph Dacre, Gerald Dacre, aunts Ruby (Blaine) Holbrook and Suzie Belding, grandmother Anna Mae Belding and many cousins and extended family. A special tribute to his band of brothers: Trent Morrison, the late Troy Morrison, Travis Lewis and Jesse James himself. The comfort of having a friend may be taken away, but not that of having had one.
