Karen Joan (Phillips) Andrews passed away November 5, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A private burial of Karen’s ashes will be held at a later date as to her wishes. Karen was born on July 12, 1941 in Centerville, Iowa to Ernest and Ella Phillips. Karen was a generous and loving lady to all who knew her. She owned and operated Karen’s Beauty Salon in Carlisle for 34 years. Karen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Karen is survived by her husband of 53 years Richard of Carlisle; Daughters Brenda(Richard) Dolski of Minneapolis and Kristi Quijano of West Des Moines and Granddaughter Gina Dolski of St. Paul. Karen was preceded in death by her grandson Anthony Dolski, her parents, and her 7 siblings. Karen was an avid animal lover and memorials may be given to the Animal Rescue League.
