Dedicated transit riders are being sought to serve on the Transit Riders Advisory Committee (TRAC) of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART). Applications are being accepted now through Friday, November 16.
TRAC members advise DART staff and Commission on all matters relating to public transit in the Greater Des Moines region. The committee represents users of all of DART’s services, including local and Express bus routes, paratransit, and RideShare vanpools.
The committee of 13 members started meeting in 2009 and has advised DART during a period of major transformation. Among other matters, committee members advised DART on the design elements and the naming of DART Central Station, as well as on the service changes and expansion outlined in the DART Forward 2035 Services Plan.
