Recipe for Success

Posted October 24, 2012 in Altoona, Community Featured

Wow! What an amazing evening in Altoona. The 13th Annual “Taste of Altoona — A Recipe for Success,” was truly that — a huge success.

More than 1,000 people were on hand to sample scrumptious treats, participate in a QR code scavenger hunt and eagerly await the gift basket raffles.

A special thank you to all of our sponsors and business partners. We so appreciate you taking the time to prepare and share such wonderful goodies and spend the evening investing in your community. What fun it is to hang out with your neighbors and friends.

You may ask yourselves “What more could the Chamber possibly do this year?” We’re still not done providing opportunities for Altoona and our business community to get involved, be informed and celebrate.

Here’s what’s up:

Tuesday, Nov. 6: Election Night. Get out and let your voices be heard.

Thursday, Nov. 15: East Polk Legislative Summit in partnership with Bondurant and Pleasant Hill Chambers of Commerce, 5:30  – 7 p.m., SEP High School. Cost $15 RSVP, $20 day of the event. Come meet your newly-elected officials, ask questions and get answers.

Friday, Dec. 7: Christmas in Altoona, 5:30 – 7 p.m., Prairie Heritage Civic Plaza. Tree lighting ceremony, Santa, sleigh rides, carolers, reindeer, treats and more.
