Trunk or Treat
Sunday, Oct. 28, 4 – 6 p.m.
Chamber member The Orange Planet is putting on its second annual Trunk or Treat in its parking lot. This is a safe trick or treat for kids supported by local businesses and community who will decorate their trunks and hand out candy. More than 900 kids participated last year and had a ball. Hot chocolate will be provided.
The Haunted Hotel
Tuesday, Oct. 30, 5 – 8 p.m.
Chamber member Sleep Inn and Suites will be hosting a “Haunted Hotel” with ghosts, goblins, ghouls and more. Scary stories and spooky suites. Come join the staff at Sleep Inn and Suites in celebrating Halloween with treats and fun for the kids. In order to participate, trick or treaters must bring a canned good or non-perishable item that will be donated to the local food bank.
Shopping in your hometown
Saturday, No. 10, 10 a.m. -2 p.m.
The Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce will host its second annual “Shopping in Your Hometown” in the Copper Creek Golf Course clubhouse. Currently we have 15 vendors signed up to participate and will be adding more each day. Please bring your family and friends to this event supporting those vendors from your community. If you are a vendor interested in participating, please contact the Chamber office at 261-0466 for more information.
East Polk Legislative Summit
Thursday, Nov. 15, 5:30 – 7 p.m.
Please join the Altoona, Bondurant and Pleasant Hill Chambers for the East Polk Legislative Summit being held at the S.E. Polk High School. This is your chance to familiarize yourself with the men and women representing you in office. Bring your questions and your appetite. Cost is $15 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members and includes a catered meal. RSVP to email@example.com by Nov. 7.
