October is National Principals Month in the United States and is a celebration of the principalship and the role that principals play in making a school great. At ADM I am very fortunate to work with a very talented and dedicated group of building principals and assistants. The roles that our principals have to fill and fill well every day are numerous and the expectations placed upon them continue to grow. ADM principals are instructional leaders, data analysts, supervisors of teachers and support staff, facility managers, handle student discipline issues, attend school events, and more.
I do hope you join me in showing appreciation to the ADM building principals this month. I know that each and every one of them are extremely dedicated and loyal to ADM and our students. The work days are long and can be challenging. The expectations for student achievement are higher than ever before. This month is a great opportunity to show them our thanks.
School leadership matters significantly in the success of a school. By a large number of measures, our schools in the ADM district are very successful and are engaged in a never-ending process of improvement. Our young people deserve quality leaders in our schools. At ADM, I know that our principals are outstanding and they dedicate their lives to working for our young people. It is a privilege and honor to work with them all.
