West Des Moines, IA (October 1, 2012) – Hubbell Realty Company recently awarded $27,300 to Des Moines area non-profit organizations. The Homestead, Anawim Housing and Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center each received $9,100 in support of their missions. The contributions were raised through Hubbell Realty’s Annual Extreme Charity Golf Classic, held September 6 at Copper Creek Golf Club in Pleasant Hill.
“Thanks to generous donations from our golfers and sponsors, we were able to support three deserving organizations,” said Hubbell Realty Company President and CEO, Rick Tollakson. “Our commitment to the community is a large part of our company’s mission, and the golf tournament is a fun way for us to live that promise.”
Steve Muller, Executive Director of The Homestead, is thankful for the donation. “We are extremely grateful for the support we receive from Hubbell,” he commented. “It allows our organization to continue to provide innovative solutions to children and adults with autism. In addition to residential and day treatment programs, we’ve started a unique intensive applied behavior analysis program that has achieved great success for children. This donation from Hubbell Realty will help expand our services to a new clinic in western Polk County.”
Over the last three years, Hubbell Realty Company has awarded over $50,000 to Des Moines area organizations from the proceeds of Extreme Charity Golf Classic.
