New Classes “strum” up Interest!

Posted September 27, 2012 in Community Blogs, Greene County

Jefferson Park and Recreation is about more than youth sports.  Yes, several of our largest offerings are youth sports—soccer, basketball, wrestling, etc.  However several smaller programs are offered each season to help provide an array of opportunities for Jefferson and Greene County residents.  An exciting new program this fall is the guitar lessons led by Peg Raney.  The lessons are available for those just starting and for the experienced guitarists.  Below is information on the upcoming courses.  To register or for questions stop by the Greene County Community Center, call 386-3412 or email parkrec@netins.net.

All classes will be held Tuesdays, October 9– November 13, 2012 at the Greene County Community Center.  Classes are limited to 5 students per class.

Beginning Guitar

Guitar III

For students who have over 12 chords mastered and can make chord changes smoothly.  This class will continue adding basic finger picking while transitioning from chord to chord.  There will be more advanced changes of chords in the songs.
