Youth Programs

Posted September 26, 2012 in Community Featured, Pleasant Hill

This fall, New Life Church, 6036 N.E. 12th Ave. in Pleasant Hill, has ramped up the youth and children’s programs for children from birth through high school.

NZone is a program for senior high students at New Life Church.

Youth of all ages are welcome to attend the Sunday Morning Children’s Ministries, held during each morning service. A secure check-in at the nursery through 4-year-old class ensures their safety. Classes are split into pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, first and second grades, third and fourth as well as fifth and sixth grades. Junior and senior high students are welcome to attend the regular worship services on Sunday mornings.

Pioneer Club is a Wednesday night program for children age 3 through sixth grade. Bible-based lessons, music, fun and time with adult leaders is part of the curriculum, which meets at the church from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

The older youth, from seventh through 12th grade, meets on Sunday nights. The junior high group meets from 5:30 – 7 p.m. and senior high NZone group meets from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

New Life Church says they work to instill in all youth the desire to begin and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. They seek to create a fun atmosphere where all students feel welcome and can have fellowship with friends while learning biblical truth that will encourage and challenge them to grow spiritually.

NZone is a program specifically for senior high students. Meeting each week, students are challenged to talk about current and relevant issues and discuss what God’s Word has to say about it. Many social events as well as a summer mission trip are also planned for the NZone group.

In other news, the church photo directory is currently being updated. All members will receive a free directory as well as a complimentary 8X10 of their directory photo. Photos are being scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 5 and 6. Families may sign up online or on a schedule at the church.

Two Sunday worship times are offered during the school year, 9 and 10:45 a.m. For information on the youth programs, or other questions, please call 515-299-5433 or online at www.newlifedsm.com.
