Betty Hall Henning, age 85, of 428 West 16th Street, died September 21, 2012, at the Westhaven Community.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Westhaven Community with Rev. Jeff McDowell officiating.
Burial will be in the Mineral Ridge Cemetery in Ridgeport.
Betty was born in Boone on October 9, 1926.
She attended grade school in Dayton and high school at Boone High School.
On August 4, 1946, Betty married N. Dean Hall in Boone. Dean died in 1968.
On May 5, 1972, she married Allen Henning at Blair, Nebraska.
Betty was a homemaker and she also worked as a line packer for Randy’s Frozen Meats.
She and Allen enjoyed trout fishing in northeast Iowa, camping, and playing cards.
Betty also enjoyed yard work and flower gardening, embroidering, cooking, and the couple enjoyed dining out.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, N. Dean Hall, three brothers: Chuck, Roswald, and Roswell; a half-brother George Harris, and two half-sisters Irene Davis and Nadine Gustafson.
Betty is survived by two sons James Hall and wife Margaret of Boone and Daniel Hall and wife Pamela of Huxley; a daughter Nancy Baker and husband Dale of Boone; two step sons, Kris Henning and wife Barb of Ogden and Rodney Walker of Boone; a step daughter Rhonda Clark and husband John of Rockwell City; two sisters Shirley Edson and Pat Mason, both of Boone; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Tuesday from 2 until 8 p.m. where the family will be present from 6 until 8 p.m.
Visitation continues Wednesday at the Westhaven Community Chapel from 9:30 a.m. until service time
