From How to Wow

Posted September 19, 2012 in Community Featured

Education is a lifelong process.  This is very true in the business community. There are certifications, trainings, continuing education, etc. that continue throughout all spectrums of the workforce here in Webster City.

We at the Chamber of Commerce continue to strive for educational opportunities that challenge your business and create opportunities for your success.  We have created a program entitled “From How To Wow” to do just that. From How To Wow is a lunch and learn seminar that focuses on educating your business on a topic of interest to the membership. Last month we had phenomenal speakers discussing the importance of preserving our historic buildings, not only to ensure they are taken care of, but to also allow our history to shine in Webster City.

Our upcoming seminars are:
Tourism in Webster City
Oct. 10, Trinity Lutheran Church, 11:30 -1 p.m.
A panel discussion from tourism professionals in the Central Iowa Tourism Region. Learn about how tourism can impact your business, what you can do as a business to promote tourism, and what the state and local offices are doing to promote tourism.

Getting involved in government
Nov. 14, Trinity Lutheran Church
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Mike Ralston, CEO of Iowa Association of Business and Industry, will discuss the importance of getting involved with local, state and federal government and how the business community can get more actively involved in working the legislative process.

If you are interested in attending one or all of these seminars, please contact the Chamber of Commerce to RSVP at 832-2564 or by email at carrie@visitwebstercityiowa.com.
