Book Club Fun at Johnston Public Library

Posted September 19, 2012 in Community Blogs, Johnston

Are you a member of a book club or have you always wanted to be?  Johnston Public Library has two exciting ways for you to participate with book clubs and enjoy rousing reads and great discussion.

The first way to participate is to join the Johnston Public Library Adult Book Club on the second Thursday of every month. Adult Book Club meets from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm to discuss books chosen by the group. The group represents a wide age range as well as wide range of perspectives. Spirited conversation is guaranteed and coffee and treats are provided. Books are available at the circulation desk while supplies last.

Johnston Public Library also has over 100 titles in multiple copy book club sets available for check-out. We have a wide variety of book club titles including classics, contemporary fiction, non-fiction, and even some young adult titles. While you’re here, don’t forget to grab a copy of book club discussion questions to help facilitate stimulating conversation with your group. Discussion questions are available in the stacks by multiple copy sets and are free to the public.

So go ahead, call a couple friends, choose a great book and get ready for some lively literary fun with your very own book club and Johnston Public Library.
