Jane Bruggeman

Jane Bruggeman, age 69, of 1211 Boone Street, died September 15, 2012, at the Boone County Hospital.

Her body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall.

Following the service, burial of her cremains will be the Arcadia Cemetery northeast of Arcadia.

Jane was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on May 25, 1943, the daughter of Harry and Josephine (Phillips) Siebert.

She attended AR-WE-VA High School in Westside, Iowa.

On June 21, 1975, Jane married Donald Bruggeman in Boone.

Jane lived in Arcadia and Vail, before moving to Boone.

In earlier years, she was a meat cutter at several lockers and worked at Archway Cookies in Boone.

For the past 12 years, she was employed at the Eastern Star Masonic Home and worked in the Dietary Department, retiring in February of this year.

While living in Arcadia, Jane was a member of the Lutheran Church.

In earlier years, she enjoyed bowling.

Jane was an avid Iowa State fan and enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and other game shows.

She loved her family and she loved working.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, and a son Terry Kracht.

She is survived by a daughter Julie Rickertt and husband Leo of Boone, two sons Jamie Bruggeman of West Des Moines and Jeffrey Bruggeman of Boone; a brother Larry Siebert and wife Patty of Westside, a sister LeAnn Olson and husband Bob of Boone; four grandchildren: Bryce Bruggeman of Gilbert, William Bruggeman of Belmond, and Stacey Vote and Jeremy Bogue, both of Boone; two great-grandchildren Brenna Vote of Boone and Evan Hanson of Minden; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time.

The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday after 11:30 a.m.

In memory of Jane, memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
