DES MOINES, IA—Wellman’s Pub will celebrate 30 years of business on Friday, September 28th with an all day tent party.
To celebrate, the locally owned bar and eatery will block off part of Ingersoll Avenue, set up a tent and roll drink prices back to 1982. The festivities start with breakfast at 10am, followed by the tent opening up at 2pm and go until 2am. Music will be provided by local band “Decoy” and others beginning at 5pm. Great food and limited edition t-shirts will also be available.
“We’re very excited to celebrate 30 years of serving Des Monies,” said Wellman’s owner Annie Baldwin. “It’ll be a great time and I look forward to celebrating with so many of the friends that we’ve made over the years.”
On September 29, 1982, Wellman’s Pub opened their doors at 2920 Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines. 30 years later, they’re still unique place where families meet for lunch and friends meet for memories. Wellman’s Pub was opened by Mark Wellman, who sold it to Mike Wellman in 1992. Annie Baldwin purchased Wellman’s in 2006.
