Sipp’n Launches Inaugural Product; Introduces Sipp’n Sweet Corn

Posted September 06, 2012 in Community Web Exclusives, Grimes

Grimes, Iowa – Sipp’n, a new producer of alcohol specialty spirits in Grimes, Iowa is launching its first product; Sipp’n Sweet Corn™.

Sipp’n is the brainchild of Chris and Janet McAninch.  It was a concept that was born while the couple owned and operated a small boutique liquor store, located in the Grimes Governors District.   During that venture, and through many conversations with customers, they learned what type of product was most desired in and around the region.   Due to the nature of their business, they also had the opportunity to sample many of the best whiskeys from around the world.  These two experiences, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit, led them to sell the liquor store in order to pursue their new concept; Sipp’n.

Starting a business of this type is not easy, as the industry is heavily regulated.  While the product (Sipp’n Sweet Corn™) was being perfected, the process of obtaining all of the necessary permits, licenses, and making important manufacturing decisions was occurring simultaneously.

Sipp’n Sweet Corn™ is described by the manufacturer as a sweet corn flavored whiskey that is handcrafted and bottled in the Governors District in Grimes, Iowa.  The product is 80 proof and Sipp’n Smooth. It will be distributed and available to the public at Iowa liquor stores after September 1st.  More information about Sipp’n and their new product can be found on the company’s official website; Like us on facebook
