Iowa Arboretum Iris and Peony Sale

MADRID, IA, September 6, 2012 – The Iowa Arboretum’s annual Iris and Peony sale is scheduled on Saturday, September 15th from 9am to 4pm and on Sunday, September 16th from noon to 4pm.   Find many award winning peonies along with a great selection of irises.  Kris Jurik and Lois Girton will speak about their favorite peonies on Saturday at 10am.  Learn about cultivar selection, site selection and soil preparation.

The Iowa Arboretum, located on 378 acres in the heart of Boone County, contains hundreds of species of trees, shrubs and flowers in a quiet scenic setting.
