WHAT MAKES A GOOD VOLUNTEER?

Anyone can volunteer, but to be a good volunteer it is best to choose something that interests you, something that you believe is really worthwhile and something that you will enjoy doing.  Being open minded and flexible to the needs of others is also important.

Because volunteering covers so many different activities and interests there is something suitable for everyone.

The best volunteers are able and willing to commit to a given job or task, even if it is only half an hour each week or less.  They should be willing to learn, willing to teach, able to listen and have an enthusiastic approach.
