City of Bondurant is Newest Partner of Bravo Greater Des Moines

BONDURANT JOINS BRAVO GREATER DES MOINES AS NEWEST REGIONAL PARTNER IN SUPPORT OF ARTS AND CULTURE IN THE GREATER DES MOINES REGION

 DES MOINES, IA (August  09, 2012)  – The City of Bondurant has approved a 28E Agreement with Bravo Greater Des Moines, becoming the 15th partner to provide funds to support arts, culture and heritage in the region.

“I’m excited about the opportunities that will be created by the City of Bondurant partnering with Bravo Greater Des Moines,” stated Bondurant Mayor Keith Ryan. Making an investment in the arts is a fantastic way to add to the quality of life in the city and make Bondurant an even better place to call home.”

Bondurant joins Altoona, Ankeny, Carlisle, Clive, Des Moines, Indianola, Johnston, Norwalk, Polk City, Polk County, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights in providing funding to Bravo Greater Des Moines, which in turn awards funds to arts, cultural and heritage organizations through its Cultural Enrichment Grants program.

“With the addition of the City of Bondurant, Bravo Greater Des Moines is now 15 Regional Partners strong! We’re very pleased with the City Council’s unanimous vote to support the arts across the Greater Des Moines Region,” said Bravo Executive Director MD Isley. “As the Region’s Arts Council, we’re excited to extend our services and support to the community of Bondurant, allowing us to reach even more of Eastern Polk County.”

Since 2005, Bravo Greater Des Moines has awarded more than 18 million dollars to over 90 arts, culture and heritage organizations in the Greater Des Moines Region. In 2012, Bravo Greater Des Moines, partnering with 14 of the area’s local governments, supported 51 arts, culture and heritage organizations by providing grants totaling more than 2.2 million dollars.
